Lifemate vs. Playmate
This isn’t really a question, but nonetheless something I wanted to put into this section. Often when couples start out in the lifestyle, questions arise about seperating love and sex and the role your new found friends will play in your lives, and in your own relationship with your spouse.
One of the first couples that we got to know had been in the swinging lifestyle for many years. As a new couple in the lifestyle, we had tons of questions, and thankfully they gave us much needed advice and guidance. They talked to us about the difference between a lifemate and a playmate. It’s something that has stuck with us, and something I wanted to pass along to you.
There is one thing you should never forget as you enter this lifestyle and grow with your partner. Your spouse is your lifemate, your new swinger friends are your playmates. You have decided to build and spend your life with your spouse. Your playmates are for you both to enjoy and play with. You should never try to get between your playmates, and you should never ever let your playmates get between you and your lifemate. While your playmates can become your best of friends, it’s important to never forget your lifemate comes first in every regard. Keeping your newfound friends as playmates, highlights the fun recreational activity that swinging is.
